The Shoreham-Wading River Central School District is pleased to announce that three SWR High School students – senior Mia Lombardi and juniors Anja Minty and Carter Rubin – have been selected as alternates in the New York State School Music Association’s All-State performing ensembles.

Their selections stem from evaluation scores and comments from the spring 2020 NYSSMA assessment, along with detailed teacher recommendations. Mia was selected as a Soprano 2 alternate, Anja was selected as a violin alternate and Carter as a Tenor 2 alternate.

“As always, we are so pleased with the efforts and achievements of our students,” Shoreham-Wading River High School Principal Frank Pugliese said. “This honor is a strong indicator of the exceptional music program provided in our district that enables them to advance in their craft.”

This year’s All-State Festival will take place in Rochester, New York, in early December. The district congratulates these students on this exceptional achievement.
