Scientific inquiry tops the list for the Shoreham-Wading River students who are participating in the district’s four-week summer science research program. Under the leadership of SWR High School science teacher Ms. Dana Schaefer, rising seventh, eighth and ninth graders are exploring the outdoors and making observations on the local environment’s mushrooms, poison ivy, lichens, bamboo and crabgrass. They will use these topics to create investigations, form hypotheses and analyze their results for their designed experiments.
