The balloons, heartfelt signs and various shades of blue that students and staff wore were the highlights of a schoolwide autism awareness and acceptance recognition at Miller Avenue School. Students in Courtney Von Bargen’s second grade class were among many classes who celebrated with kind gestures, compassionate words and an understanding that individuals with autism may have different viewpoints than them.
