The Shoreham-Wading River School District Board of Education recognized Mr. Kevin Culhane for being named as the high school boys varsity basketball Coach of the Year. Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Nurses Mr. Mark Passamonte lauded him for his efforts at the March 16 board meeting before reading a letter of appreciation from a player.

“Ideally, that is why we are here – to influence students in a positive way and Kevin does that year in and year out,” Mr. Passamonte said. “I congratulate him for being named coach of the year for League VII.”

Mr. Culhane was applauded by the Board members before being presented with a certificate of excellence by Board of Education President Mr. Michael Lewis and Superintendent of Schools Mr. Gerard Poole.
