Excellence in education continues, as Shoreham-Wading River High School
students engage in some exceptional STEM educational experiences with
the recent addition of DNA analysis equipment being used in the
Science Research program and Living Environment classes. The items –
including gel electrophoresis apparatus, micropipets, a microcentrifuge
and a thermocycler – were purchased with additional state funding from
Sen. Kenneth LaValle. The new equipment helps to enhance the scientific
lessons that our educators use and constantly challenge and captivate
our students.
