Shoreham-Wading River High School technology students recently attended a
facility tour of Dayton T. Brown in Bohemia. The field trip was an
opportunity to explore the engineering technologies used in testing the
features of items such as products, vehicle seat belts, aircraft and
more.
Students were provided with contact information so that they could apply
for internships as college undergraduates. “They were excited to hear
many of the interns who were accepted to Dayton T. Brown are currently
employed by them today,” technology teacher Nicholas Vertucci said,
referring to the engineers, technicians, technical writers, logisticians
and production specialists and others who have productive careers at
the facility.
