The weeklong colorful “Character Counts,” encouraged good deeds from the students at Miller Avenue and Wading River as they showed off their respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship by wearing yellow, green, orange, red and purple, respectively, each day to reinforce those character traits. They ended the week by wearing mismatched socks in recognition of the national “Million Misfit Sock Match.”
