SWR students are strengthening their musical skills at the annual five-week Summer Music Institute.
From woodwind, brass, percussion and string to piano and vocal lessons,
the institute is an opportunity for students to learn from program
director Paula Albert-Franz and district music teachers Erin Fasano,
Arthur Gross, Kevin O’Brien and Ashley O’Connor and share in an
enjoyable and positive educational experience.
According to Albert-Franz, dozens of students take lessons either
individually or in groups. This year’s popular new offerings of mandolin
and banjo enable children to master their musical education as well as
develop and enhance skills used in other subject areas.
