Wading River Elementary School Principal Louis Parrinello shared one of his favorite reads, Eugene Trivizas’ “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig,” as part of the PARP activities at Miller Avenue. Community members were invited to be guest readers in kindergarten, first- and second-grade classrooms, where they shared a favorite book and answered student questions. It was a great opportunity for students to meet some local community members, including politicians, school administrators and parents. In addition to Mr. Parrinello, the entire Miller Avenue community would like to thank the following volunteers:

Lori Blend, North Shore Public Library
Jane Bonner, Councilwoman
Dr. and Mrs. George Dubato, local veterinarians
Beverly Killeen and Clare the therapy dog
Dan Losquadro, Town of Brookhaven Highway Superintendent
Perry Maraglia, a member of the United States Military
Anthony Palumbo, New York State Assemblyman
Ed Romaine, Town of Brookhaven Supervisor

and district administrators:
