Shoreham-Wading River High School students are deploying their
creativity and innovative skills using some advanced technology located
in the new MakerSpace in the school library.
During their free periods, students are able to visit the space to
engage in hands-on projects – from creating and designing inventions to
using a new 3D printer. With the help of librarian Kristine Hanson,
students are able to utilize Tinkercad, an online design tool, to create
original and expressive ideas and then bring them to life.
Seen here, senior Victoria Holden shows the final product of her
keychain, intuitively designed on Tinkercad and then made real by the 3D
printer.
