Free Youth Heart Screening to be Held in SWR

To bring awareness of sudden cardiac arrest to the local community, free youth heart screenings are being offered to people between the ages of 12-25 on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Albert G. Prodell Middle School in Shoreham. The screenings are coordinated by Shoreham-Wading River High School senior Jordan McClintock as part of her efforts to earn the Girls Scouts Gold Award.

Sudden cardiac arrest is not just an adulthood issue; thousands of teens die every year because of it. AED and CPR education will also be available at the event. For more information or to register, visit:
