Shoreham-Wading River High School guidance counselor Sal Rosato has been named as an honorary member of the National Technical Honor Society by the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, which is part of Eastern Suffolk BOCES. He will be officially inducted at an induction breakfast on May 17.
Mr. Rosato was nominated for the honor for continuously demonstrating a commitment to students and continued support toward technical education.
“It is a well-deserved recognition” said high school principal Dan Holtzman. “One of Mr. Rosato’s strengths as a guidance counselor is his unwavering championing for his students.”
Mr. Rosato has served as a high school guidance counselor in the Shoreham-Wading River School District for 18 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College and a master’s degree from C.W. Post.
