As part of a Brookhaven National Laboratory program, four Shoreham-Wading River High School science students and one Port Jefferson School District student learned more about nanoparticles via an interactive video conference with Richard Darienzo, a Stony Brook University Ph.D. student. During the conference, held at BNL, Mr. Darienzo analyzed samples of gold nanoparticles using unique tools within BNL’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials. The students were able to ask questions and comment afterward.
