Prodell Middle School students culminated a week of kindness activities by forming a paper chain on the school’s track on April 7. The chain represented the chain of good that can come from one simple act of kindness.
The week’s kindness activities were part of a “Bounce Back Project,” started by students Kelly Logan, Kyra Faragasso, Brooke Hackel and Sara Kruziniski. It modeled Rachel’s Challenge and the idea that everyone can overcome a loss and “Bounce Back” by starting a chain reaction of kindness.
Each day throughout the week, students took part in discussions and activities surrounding the ideas of resilience, mindfulness, self-care, positive relationships, self-awareness and purpose. For each pillar discussed, students made a piece of chain that included pledges to conduct acts of kindness.
