As part of their professional development training, teachers in the Shoreham-Wading School District participated in Instructional Rounds at the high school on March 21 and 22.

During the sessions, teachers collaborated on learning and teaching in classrooms and other area schools through a process based on the work of Dr. Richard Elmore, who adapted his ideas from the professional practice of medical rounds used by doctors.

“The goal is to provide high-quality teaching/learning at scale in an ongoing learning community through the coordinated efforts of a collegial network,” said Shoreham-Wading River High School Principal Dan Holtzman.
