As students and staff looked on, Shoreham-Wading River School District administrators and Board of Education members broke ground on construction projects at Miller Avenue and Wading River elementary schools at consecutive groundbreaking ceremonies on Jan. 19.

The construction projects are part of the district’s $48.5 million Renewal Bond, which was approved by voters in 2015. The bond includes projects that will result in the addition of four kindergarten classrooms at Miller Avenue and 10 new classrooms and a cafetorium at Wading River.
