To help ensure the safety of students during the summer months, Miller Avenue School invited the nonprofit End Drowning Now organization to speak with students about water safety.

During the June 2 program, students were educated and entertained by an informative puppet show and songs. With the help of characters Sammy Starfish, Timmy Tadpole and Gilbert Guppy, students were taught how to be safe around water by following rules, including never swim alone, to keep a phone by the pool and about proper rescue equipment.
