The district held its first STEM Symposium on May 17 in the high school gymnasium. During the event, students and community members explored exhibits demonstrating the district’s successes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Featured items included the high school and middle school robotics program, which provides instruction on constructing and programming complicated robots.
Additionally, participants had the opportunity to make slime and bristlebots, witness a wind turbine in action and watch a dogfish dissection.
The evening culminated with a highly visual one-hour show provided by Mad Science.
