Reading Around the World

Miller Avenue School held its annual Pick a Reading Partner initiative during the week of April 4.

Throughout the initiative, which carried a theme of “reading around the world,” students took part in a number of special activities aimed at inspiring and developing a lifelong love of reading. Students were encouraged to read books about foreign countries and participated in activities such as a reading scavenger hunt throughout the community, a bedtime story event and enjoyed visits from several guest readers, including high school Spanish students.

The week culminated with grade-level assemblies, during which Curious George and the man in the yellow hat shared a book and then danced with students.
