Miller Avenue Elementary students had a blast exploring science during an educational assembly on Feb. 23.

During the one-hour, high-energy interactive program, Xenon Zack, a scientist from Mad Science of Long Island, amazed students with experiments related to topics such as combustion, acids and foam.

The goal of the program, said Principal Christine Carlson, was to bolster students’ excitement for science as they prepare for the annual science fair on March 16.
