‘Souper’ Food Drive

Miller Avenue and Wading River schools celebrated the Super Bowl by holding monthlong “Souper” Bowl food drives.

Students were encouraged to donate by receiving stickers for their donations and earning football points for their grade level. At the end of the drive, the kindergartners at Miller Avenue took first place by donating the most food and scoring two and a half touchdowns. At Wading River, the fourth grade won with two touchdowns.

Each school collected well over 1,000 items, which were donated to local food pantries.
