Middle school sixth-graders recently gained a better understanding of color-related concepts through a watercolor project they completed in art class. As part of the lesson, art teacher Gina Hand instructed the students on blending and mixing colors.

In addition to the color lesson, the students have learned about impressionism, still lives and pop art through a variety of other hands-on projects.

“Art is an important part of education, as it helps students to express their creativity and open their minds,” said Hand.
