Book Club Binds Students Together

A three-year-old book club at the high school is bringing students closer together through their love of reading.

The club, run biweekly by librarian Kristine Hanson, offers students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to gather during the school day and discuss books that they have selected.

“The club offers an outlet for the members to not only read and discuss a book, but also enjoy the company of fellow students who share their reading passion,” said Hanson.

This school year, students will be reading books including “Crossover” by Kwame Alexander, “Code Name Verity” by Elizabeth Wein, “Jackaby” by William Ritter, “I Will Always Write Back” by Caitlyn Alifirenka and “Eleanore & Park” by Rainbow Rowell.
