Matched up to a Cause

Students at Wading River Elementary School sent a strong anti-bullying message by wearing mismatched socks to school on Oct. 23.

The students wore their brightly colored mismatched socks as part of a celebration for National Bullying Prevention Month. The different socks represented the differences among students and what makes them each special.

The school’s Misfit Sock Day was coordinated in conjunction with Girl Scout Troop 1550, which supported the school’s effort.
