Character Counts

Students at the Wading River School celebrated the start of character counts week on Oct. 19 with a variety of activities.
Events kicked off with an assembly featuring a video about the six pillars of character: caring, fairness, respect, responsibility, trustworthiness and citizenship. Following the video, Principal Louis Parrinello read, The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade by Justin Roberts to the students. The story spoke about the importance of standing up for peers who are being bullied.  Students additionally dressed in colors, representing the pillars for a schoolwide photo.
