To unite the community against all forms of bullying, the middle school student council teamed up with the high school’s Best Buddies club for an anti-bully walk on the evening of May 15.
Students from all grade levels participated in the event by carrying signs and walking the middle school track. They also signed anti-bullying posters, which will be displayed in the schools, and learned more about bullying through informational handouts.
“We wanted to get the community together as a whole to show support against bullying,” said student council President Brennan Gorman. Brennan helped organize the event with council Vice President Philip DeLuca.
“We hope to turn this event into an annual tradition,” said Philip.
Student council advisor Andrea Monz said the students worked extremely hard to put together the walk. “By standing together against bullying, we can make a difference,” she said.
