High school students had the opportunity to explore many of the college choices available to them during the district’s annual spring college fair, held at the high school on March 11.
During the fair, students were able to meet with representatives from more than 100 colleges across the country and ask questions. “The goal is to expose students to the numerous opportunities for higher education that are available,” said Principal Dan Holtzman.
An added benefit, said event organizer and school counselor Lucy Eschback, is that college representatives are able to get to know Shoreham-Wading River’s students and community. “They can see what our community is all about,” she said.
Sophomore Samantha Higgins found the fair to be very beneficial. “This fair helped me to get an idea about a variety of colleges that I may want to go to,” she said.
