During a recent meet at Sunken Meadow State Park, both the boys and girls cross-country teams came out on top.
In the boys Class B race, Shoreham senior Matt Gladysz not only posted a personal best time of 16:56.6, but also finished first, qualifying for the state championship. Also qualifying was teammate Michael Godfrey, who came in fifth with a time of 17:14.90.
The girls team will also be advancing to the state championships after winning the Class B County Championship. Representing the Wildcats as those with the five fastest scores are Katherine Lee, who took first place, Alexandra Hays, Francesca Lilly, Kaitlyn Ohrtman and Amanda Dwyer.
Also competing was Lexi Smith and Payton Capes-Davis.
