On Dec. 17, Briarcliff Elementary School hosted a Fireside Read-in for students and their parents. With the help of teachers Paula Albert-Franz, Di Gilroy, Maria Maio and more, the school was able to transform the recreation room into a winter wonderland. Parents looked on while their children delivered a heartwarming performance of various holiday songs. Afterwards, students joined their parents to read a book of their choice while drinking hot cocoa. Principal Louis Parrinello read aloud the book of the month, “Sleep Like a Tiger,” and invited parents back to the classrooms to help their children complete a holiday gingerbread house activity.
