Shoreham-Wading River High School held its biannual college fair on Oct. 30, attended by students in grades 9-12. The fair, which has been hosted by the school for 25 years, showcased approximately 130 colleges and universities, making it the most highly represented fair yet.
“The best way for a student to see if they like a particular college is to make a visit, but this is the next best thing,” said high school guidance counselor Lucy Eschbach. “We encourage students to start looking for colleges early so they can be better consumers. The fair provides our students with the opportunity to speak directly with the college representatives and it also gives the admissions counselors a first hand look at our school and student body.”
The district will be hosting another mini college fair in the spring semester.
