Shoreham-Wading River students returned this week for the start of the 2013-2014 year. The district’s five academic buildings all came alive on Sept. 9 for the first day of classes, with teachers welcoming their students into fresh, bright classrooms.  The classic sights and sounds of school filled the hallways and playgrounds as classmates came together for another exciting year.

Recent structural improvements to many of the buildings and facilities welcomed students into an even better learning environment. A renovated courtyard and track awaited students at the high school; new Smart Boards and computers are available to provide students and teachers with the most up-to-date applications and programs; and extended bus loops at Briarcliff and Wading River elementary schools made for easier arrivals and dismissals.

The district looks forward to another year of positive changes and continued success.
