Throughout the week of Dec. 12, middle school students were provided with postvention guidance as part of the school’s ongoing suicide prevention and awareness initiative.

During the small group postvention sessions, representatives from Response of Suffolk County provided students with information related to grief and healing after a suicide.

The program is just one of a number that the school is offering to students and their families in an effort to heighten awareness. For more information, visit the middle school’s new student support service video page at  http://www.swrschools.org/schools/service_videos_ms
