The girls varsity soccer team came out on top on Nov. 5, winning the Suffolk County Championship after defeating Sayville High School 1-0.

This is the first time the team, which sat undefeated with a record of 18-0-1, has earned a title since 1997.

The girls faced off against Nassau County’s top soccer team, South Side High School at Dowling College on Nov. 8. Despite playing hard, South Side won 2-1.  Shoreham-Wading River’s Emily Sopko scored the only goal for the team.
